Many bottle school communities have chosen to paint a world map on one of the school walls. This is a great way to help the kids learn about the world that exists beyond the scope of their own experience.

Part of the message of the bottle schools is about communication and cooperation, not just within specific communities but across borders. We believe that we are all one people.

Allowing the kids to contribute art to the school can give them an additional sense of ownership in what they have already created through hard work and with their own two hands. In particular, artwork featuring messages about the environment, recycling and sustainability will help reinforce the environmental education that whole community has undergone as a result of building a bottle school together.
