Plaster
From Bottle School Wiki
3 Layers of Plaster
- The first layer is the thickest and aims to fill in holes. It has a rough finish. Lime will corrode chicken wire if used here.
- The second layer is thinner than the first, it is more refined
- The final layer is thinner still and smooth. Lime can be added for a clean finish.
Techniques
A. Throw plaster onto the wall using a trowel.
B. Press and spread as evenly as possible on the wall with a flat trowel.
- with either technique it is handy to place a board underneath your working area to collect fallen cement. If recombined with a batch quickly it can be reused, minimizing the amount of wasted material
