INTERMEDIATE AND TOP BEAM

• Place the wooden form that you used for the lower beam between the already poured columns to form the intermediate beam or top beam, depending on where you are in the construction process.
• Tie rebar together in the same way as for the floor beam, and place it above corresponding poured columns.
• Place forms around the rebar cage, nailing in place with previously placed bottom boards. You can reuse the forms from the lower beam.

• There is no need to drill the holes for the pins again, as long as they align well.
• Pour in concrete, and agitate to aerate the cement mixture and make it sit uniformly.
• Place pins in outward facing holes (8 cm from the outside edge).
• The form should be propped from below to prevent bending. You can use wood, bamboo or anything that will support the beam once the concrete is poured.
