Chicken Wire Part 2


  • • Once you have the bottles tied in place you can then start to put the outside layer of chicken-wire on. This layer of chicken wire, just like the inside layer, should be stretched as tightly as possible.
  • • Use the same technique as before, but cut the rebar a little longer than the openings this time. Threading will be easier with shorter pieces.
  • • Secure the chicken wire on the top of the wall section, and stretch it downwards.
  • • We suggest vertical rebar supports every other column. Flatten the pins to hold the chicken wire tightly.

  • • Once both sides of the chicken wire are in place, pull the two layers towards each other and squeeze the bottles, and tie the two sides together with tie-wire every fifth bottle, every other row, and where needed.
